With the Ontimize Gantt advanced component, project schedules can be graphically added and integrated into your Ontimize application where appropriate in a simple but effective fashion. GANTT diagrams are currently the most popular way of representing project scheduling, and are used by almost all project managers in all sectors. A very useful advanced Ontimize component in many application scenarios.
The Ontimize Gantt implementation above illustrates the start and finish dates of the terminal elements and summary elements of a project. Terminal elements and summary elements form the work breakdown structure of the project. Ontimize Gantt users are therefore able to manage all information concerning project status. The dependency relationships between activities are shown, as well as the current schedule status using “percent-complete” shadings together with a vertical line indicating “today”.

TECHNICAL FEATURES
The Ontimize Gantt component includes sufficient functionality to completely manage the development of a project. Some features have been specifically designed to allow the project managers work to be both simpler and faster. These features include:
• Direct Task entry into the Gantt chart, with time estimation and start / end date set and linked with other related tasks.
• Hierarchical Task grouping allowing the duration of the parent task to reflect the duration of all the sub tasks below it. Subtasks can be "rolled up" so that only the master task is shown - giving a much simpler view of the chart.
• Simple and fast progress tracking of the project by entry of the “percent complete” for each task. “Percent complete” is shown visually on each task bar.
• Dependency definitions: One task starts when another ends. Changing the end date of the first task automatically changes the start date of the next etc.
• The option of having major events other than the tasks themselves shown on the plan as points of connection for the project (milestones)
• Smooth zoom animation with zoom buttons.
• Showing associated forms and form data directly from the graphical task representation. This allows fast and simple update.
